In 1969, Dornbracht introduced its first luxury fitting: With Edition 2000 and its sophisticated design language, the company opened up a new market segment in the premium sector.

In the mid-1980s, Dornbracht launched Domani by Dieter Sieger, the first designer fitting designed specifically as such. In doing so, Dornbracht set the future standard for all subsequent designs. Domani thus became a distinctive hallmark of the brand’s quality.

This was followed in 1992 by the Tara series, which emphasizes a connection to architecture with its decidedly purist design language. It won numerous design awards, was copied worldwide, and is now considered a design classic.

In 1995, the company’s brand marketing was expanded to include the slogan “Culture in the Bathroom,” which was intended to document Dornbracht's holistic understanding of the bathroom: The bathroom not only as a pragmatic place for personal hygiene, but also as a sanctuary for body and mind.

In 1996, STATEMENTS marked the beginning of the Dornbracht Culture Projects: Visionaries and leading thinkers from art and culture reflected on and interpreted the social significance of rituals in the bathroom.

In order to document the understanding of the bathroom as a refuge and to anchor it in the public consciousness, Dornbracht developed the “Energetic Recovery System” project with Mike Meiré in 2000. The system, which can be described as a futuristic place to cleanse body and mind, is the first future scenario in the Dornbracht Edges series.

In 2003, “RAINSKY” was introduced, the first flush-mounted shower panel available on the market that was recessed into the ceiling and offered three spray types, a rain curtain, and both head and body showers. Delivering on our brand promise by bringing innovation to the industry. Adding variety and sophistication in the form and effect of water.

Body, mind and soul: Dornbracht has exhaustively researched the effects that hydrotherapy, now a megatrend in the health sector, has on body, mind, and soul. Dorbracht’s appreciation of the proven beneficial effects water has is also a driving force behind its product development.
